Think of something you're good at, could be a game, could be a skill or a hobby.. For me, I am thinking of Mario Kart.
Now, what instincts do you have when you're cultivating that thing you're good at, when you are actively practicing, does that help you perform better overall? For example, in Mario Kart, when I am actively practicing, I sometimes have a brief epiphany of how I can get better. When I am racing, either against CPUs or more often online, I also receive ideas on how I can place better each race while I am racing. And the more I practice those epiphanies, the more I follow through on ideas that I have, and not only do I receive more ideas, but it becomes easier to perform the ideas. This is a similar concept to the Holy Ghost, and actively working on being open to revelation and acting on it. I will now share two quotes:

Promptings of the Spirit are very personal and come in different ways. As you can see, the epiphanies I have while playing Mario Kart are very similar to the revelations that you are able to receive from the Holy Ghost. And just like your talents and abilities, the Gift of the Holy Ghost is a gift you should cultivate. Actively work on being open to revelation, and pray to do so. Pray also that you may be able to act on the revelation you receive. And as you do so, you will be able to better withstand the temptations of the world.
